For questions regarding ATRA go to http://www.atra-online.com

For questions regarding NCTRC go to http://www.nctrc.org/ and to VERIFY that a person is certified as a CTRS go to NCTRC's Verification Page.

For questions on specialties within TR go to the TRnet section at www.recreationtherapy.com/members.htm.

If you do need to contact me, email Charlie Dixon at
charlie's email address.

Please understand that I receive hundreds of email each week and only have so much time to respond to email as this web page is just a hobby of mine.

ADDRESSES
Can you tell me the address for NCTRC, ATRA, etc?  Go to the TR Organizational page

ASSESSMENTS
Where can I find assessment resources?  Go to MEMBERS ONLY SECTION, then TRnet and then click on Assessments once you gain access to .

COLLEGES
For a listing of colleges with TR programs go to www.recreationtherapy.com/trcollg.htm.

I do not have a list of which colleges are better or worse. I do not have a list of colleges that are currently accredited by NRPA. Go to www.nrpa.org for such a listing. For a

ERRORS
If you locate any error at the TR Directory, please inform me at .  I will try to correct the problem as soon as I receive your email.  This includes typos, spelling errors, grammer errors.  I won't, however, correct spelling errors of bulletin board or guestbook postings made by other people.

INTERNSHIP
If you are looking for an internship site, please go to the members only section and then to the TR Internship Directory. I do not have any more information than what is posted at the TR Internship Directory. Please don't ask me to send you an email when I find an internship that matches your needs... I do not keep track of the postings at the TR Internship Directory nor do I maintain a separate list. If you do not see an internship posting for the area that you are interested in, your best bet would be to go to the library, get a phone book for the city you are interested in and open the yellow pages for a listing of psychiatric, rehab, LTC, etc facilities.

JOBS
Please don't email me with request for job leads....

Please go to the TR Jobs page and many of the major job bulletin found on-line. Do note that many agencies do not post job openings anywhere. Many times they have openings and go through their list of applicants who sent in resumes. Your best bet would be to identify agencies that have RT positions and send in a resume.

LOOKING FOR INFO
Where can I find information about ----- at the Therapeutic Recreation Directory?   Use the Search Engine at the Therapeutic Recreation Directory or use the Therapeutic Recreation Directory Index.

I need info about Pet Therapy? (or other topics).   Again, use the search engine.  For a list of individuals that can help you, go to TRNet found in the MEMBERS ONLY SECTION.  For organizations, go the the TR Associations web page.

If you are requesting, "Please send me all you have on therapeutic recreation," I urge you to take time to do the work yourself and look through the Therapeutic Recreation Directory and other links and sources listed at this site.

NCTRC
Please tell me when NCTRC is having their testing... and where?
You need to contact NCTRC directly at www.nctrc.org.

PRINTING FROM THE ACTIVITIES PAGES
"I can't print from the activities pages." The problem lies within your browser. I have printed activity pages from the Therapeutic Recreation Directory's activity pages without problem from many different printers, browsers and computers. Some did not print properly and after tweaking the browser, I was able to print them out without problem.

1st, try right clicking on the web page, and click print. If this doesn't work, take a look at your browser options.

If you have Internet Explorer it should print out properly, If not click View, then Internet Options, then click on the Advanced tab and scroll down to where it says Printing. Be sure the box next to Print background colors and images is unchecked.

You can also save the pages to your computer and remove the formatting so that you remove the dark background and change the text to black. Then print it out.

You can also cut and paste the text to your word processor if none of the above options work for you.

PASSWORD
"I'm embarrassed to say but I lost my password."  If you lost your password or User ID to the Internship Site, send an email to .

If you lost your password or User ID to the TR Address Book, you can go to the members only section and click on the LOST PASSWORD link from the Address Book and your password will be automatically emailed to you.

You should take note that passwords and usernames are always case sensitive. That is, cdixon is not that same as Cdixon. The easiest thing to do is to always keep your user ID and password at lowercase. A mixture of upper case and lower case is too difficult to remember.

REMOVE ME FROM YOUR MAILING LIST
To be removed from the TR Directory's Mailing List, go to the Privacy page and enter your name in the box provided for TR Directory Mailing List.

To have your name and info removed from other sections of the TR Directory, please give me the complete name of the web page and the information that you want removed by emailing me at .

RESUME
I do not post resumes at the TR Directory... I used to but it was too time consuming for me. However, I do list links to resumes that you have posted elsewhere.

SUBMISSIONS
If you have activity ideas, forms, articles, etc to post, please send them via email or email with attached file.  I prefer Word for Windows format for attached files.

VOLUNTEERING
If you are interested in volunteering with the Therapeutic Recreation Directory, please contact me... I can surely use your help!

WHO'S IN CHARGE OF THE TR Directory?
Charlie Dixon. This is a hobby web site of mine. It is not an official TR site. The information you see at the Therapeutic Recreation Directory is composed of information people send me. If you see information that needs updated or deleted or added.... PLEASE send them in.

I sometime get questions such as... "Please send me all you have on TR." Well, it's here... on the TR Directory. You may want to use the search engine at the TR Directory to locate info you want.

I am always pleased to post articles, examples of forms, activity ideas, protocols, etc.

PLEASE SEND THEM in to .
