Fun Ideas

Punch-ball (hanging)
Submitted by Bonnie Gasparini of New Jersey Veterans Home on March 03, 2003

Size: 4-6

Equipment: one punch ball, yarn or ribbon, string

Objective: hand and eye coordination...plus anyone who passes my hanging punch ball cannot resist taking a poke at it...including staff

Description: blow up one punch ball (it usually comes in packages of 2 or more) Take ribbon, string or yarn and tie it at one end of the punch ball. The other end hang from your ceiling. Place residents around the hanging punch ball and watch the fun! I have them placed in several areas sometimes in my dayroom. Anyone who passes cannot resist taking a swing at it. This works really well with residents in wheelchairs.
