Hi my name is Kelly and I have a horse that I would like to donate to a MN Theraputic Recreation Program. She is a sound horse that I have owned for 9 years. She is 21 years old and totally trained, well mannered. A total sweetheart. She has a bit of arthritus and if was ridden often she may get rid of it. I ride her 1-2 times a week. SHe needs to be ridden a little more than that though. She is current on all vaccinations and hoof maintanance. SHe is a little overwieght can trim up. She has always had that metabolism. She has a lot of years left on her. She has taught many kids many things. Adults too, anyone can ride. The only reason I need to find a home for her is because I have the opportunity to work an international job. This is the first time I have visited this website. I found it by accident. I am a CTRS working in an acute rehab for adults and pediatric. I lot of experience working with adults but none with children. I would like to make my TR program the very best that I can especially when half of the people that I work with do not treat me like part of the team. STUDENT LOOKING FOR A TR
INTERNSHIP IN CALIFORNIA I am senior in Western Washington
University’s Therapeutic Recreation Program, interested in
applying for a Therapeutic Recreation internship an children's
or adult physical rehabilitation center in California this
spring or summer. In order to fulfill my internship requirements,
I must shadow a Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist
for a minimum of 40 hours a week for a 12 week period. I am

Hi! I was certified in Therapeutic
Recreation in May of 2002 and was out of the country for six
months doing some schooling. Now I'm back and am currently

I need anybody's help/advice
who may have gone through this. I am a CTRS. I applied for
recertification this year but just recently found out that
not all my CEU credits were approved. I took courses through
Museum One. I am currently appealing this but would like any
advice from anybody who may have gone through this same situation.
I have worked so hard (ie: college, professional experience,
etc.) and would hate to loose my CTRS status now. I know that
taking the test is also another option, but honestly, just
like many people, I hate tests and I guess right now I am
trying to avoid that option since I've already taken the test
many years ago. I know there has been people who have gone
through this same exact situation and have appealed and has
gotten it approved. I just want to make sure I do it right.
Please help!!!If I would have know that they wouldn't approve
it, of course I wouldn't have taken the courses from Museum
One, but when my recertification application was approved
5 years ago, I decided to take more courses thinking that
it would be alright when it comes to recertify again. Boy
was that a huge mistake. Anway, I would appreciate any tips
